Lamy Studio Arrived
I am happy to report that my Lamy Studio in the brushed silver finish arrived a few days ago. Overall I am very pleased with the pen. The EF nib is pretty nice. It has a slight hitch in it that I think will smooth out over time. If not I can always send it to Richard Binder for a tweak. I may take it with me to the Chicago Pen Show and see which nib master is on hand.
The fit and finish are acceptable but I think Lamy is slipping a bit. I see a rather noticeable bulge at the end of the pen that is obviously due to the cap end being screwed down too much and the pen doesn't snap together quite as securely as the Safari.
The design of the pen is rather interesting and the clip is unlike anything else on the market. The girth of the pen is average and it is comfortable to longer periods of writing. Overall I am happy with the pen. The writing performance is as expected. Firm but dependable.
